    • Research Operations Manager
      • Jan 2015 - Present

I manage the implementation and ongoing optimisation of internal, national, and international strategic projects and programmes which are developed in consultation with partners to improve healthcare and enhance the capacity of our network. I also co-lead strategic direction on Pacific engagement. The focus is on supporting people to be their best, contributing towards making a positive impact through research both locally and globally, and creating safe spaces for everyone to connect and collaborate. I was the Research Operations Manager for the Medical Technologies Centre of Research Excellence (MedTech CoRE) from its establishment in January 2015 to its close in June 2021. I contributed to strategic planning and implementation of Te Tītoki Mataora MedTech Research Translator and its programmes which spun out of the CoRE in August 2021 and is still in progress. • Jul 2021 - Present

Te Tītoki Mataora supports Aotearoa New Zealand's health technology ecosystem through programmes that encourage collaboration for the development, testing, and translation of ideas into sustainable clinical solutions. One of these, the HealthTech Capability Programme (HTCP), comprises five capability-building modules focusing on Mātauranga Māori, Pacific Engagement, Future Leaders, Clinical Translation, and Commercial Translation. The Pacific Engagement module aims to increase engagement between Pacific communities and the Aotearoa New Zealand healthtech sector. We provide Pacific cultural responsiveness training for our non-Pacific community, run showcase events to highlight health and medtech opportunities available for our Pacific community, and host networking events to bring all of our communities together. We aim to spark new and build existing relationships, and help foster potential collaborations. Show less
