Started working at the Asthma and Airway Disease Research Center in 2013, previously known as the Arizona Respiratory Center. Was promoted from Data Manager to Research Specialist in 2016. My job responsibilities as a Research Specialist include recruiting patients for federal and industry clinical trails. Doing the necessary steps to starting new studies such as communicating with study sponsors, attending investigational meetings, working on regulatory paperwork, certifying staff, and establishing guidelines to follow protocol. Learning necessary techniques to better do my job such as spirometry and blood draws. Other job duties included working on numerous protocols at once, being proficient on all studies, getting the necessary training for each individual study, answering queries and resolving discrepancies. I was also a lead coordinator for the American Lung Association Clinical Trials. Other job duties included working with other sites in building pilot studies and translating study related documents.

Worked as a data manager for numerous asthma clinical and industry research studies. My job responsibilities include, inputting data, working with confidential patient information, communicating with study participants, and keeping source documentation. I also made recruitment forms for our coordinators using patient information, and keep track of patient eligibility status as well as make sure that our coordinators are following protocol. In charge of answering data queries and reconciling any data discrepancies. Also managed general office duties such as organization, ordering office supplies, and calling for equipment maintenance when necessary.

Worked for Dr. Marina Kurtzburg and Dr. Sairam Parthasarathy at the VA hospital. Responsibilities were to assist during mice implant surgeries. Also caring for the mice by changing cages, weighing, feeding them, and giving them water. Additionally assisted with injections whenever necessary. During the evenings I was responsible for operating the EMG/EEG software in order to run our experiment. I also have helped analyze data using Excel and ImageJ. Assisted in maintaining Material and Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals used in our laboratories.
