      This role allowed me to support individuals who experienced substance misuse issues. I was responsible for managing my own caseload, initial assessment paperwork including FAST scoring, risk assessments, child safeguarding and care plans (drug and alcohol star). I also provided ongoing support to our service users through well-being checks via the telephone or one-to-one appointments. I was the point of contact for new service users referring into our service, via telephone, in person or through other social work, criminal justice or IAS departments and then arranging initial appointments. I also had the responsibility of multiagency liaison and planning, to ensure clients receive maximum support. I was responsible for the service’s administrative task such as monitoring and updating the Drug Misuse Government database and the service documents as well as assisting the Head of Operation’s with their expense accounts.
