Sarah K. Nathan, Ph.D.

Ms. Gaudette is a dedicated, hard-working, strategic nonprofit professional who has a keen understanding of organizational dynamics. Ms. Gaudette completed her Masters of Science in Nonprofit Management and Philanthropy and Bay Path University in 2016. As her academic advisor during her two years of course work, I came to know Ms. Gaudette as an excellent student with a strong ability to digest and communicate complex information in an effective and efficient manner. In her applied capstone project, Ms. Gaudette conducted a comparative case study of three community-based nonprofit organizations. As small nonprofits, she sought to understand if there is an ideal funding mix for similar youth-serving organizations. Through interviews with organization leaders, a short survey of staff, and an analysis of the organizations’ financial records, she compiled all of these data points into a concise narrative. Then, she applied two frameworks from organizational theory to determine whether or not a reliance on a particular funding source led to mission drift. Ultimately, she concluded that there is no one funding mix that is more or less accommodating for community-based nonprofits. Rather, mission drift can be prevented by engaging funding sources based on shared values. Ms. Gaudette is a passionate nonprofit professional who is poised to make a real difference as she seeks to heal others through the transformative power of community-based yoga.

Natalie is one of the most caring and dedicated para-professionals I have ever worked with. She truly went above and beyond to make her peers feel safe, comfortable, and cared for regardless of identity. Natalie worked tirelessly to create an inclusive environment both in and out of her residential community. Her efforts did not go unnoticed; Natalie was often sought by peers as a key advocate, particularlyin relation to women’s rights related issues. Natalie has, and will continue to be, a highly sought after professional regardless of her chosen vocation.
