Mental Health Manager

Sep 2012 - Jun 2014
Management of an innovative partnership project with Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust (BSMHFT) which offers tailored support to young people aged 16-30 with identified mental health issues. My role within the project is to establish and maintain relationships with the Early Intervention Service and to manage and redesign the two programmes that we offer; the Individual Placement Support (IPS) programme and the Social Inclusion programme. This has involved embedding new structures, resources and building and developing a new team to deliver our project.I directly line manage a team of 8 staff who in turn recruit and caseload manage 150 young people annually across the two services. The programmes engages young people through group work and one to one support to develop personal and social skills, independent living skills and vocational skills. We then support then to sustain outcomes in employment, education, training and volunteering.I also support the strategic development of the partnership between The Prince’s Trust and BSMHFT by attending regular meeting e.g. Clinical governance, as well as building and maintaining relationships with key individuals in the NHS. This has allowed me to prepare annual business plans for the project, forecast annual budgets, monitor expenditure and set relevant KPIs and targets.
