Intern at Greater Denton Arts Council
-
May 2021 - May 2022
For a year I was granted the opportunity to be an intern for the Greater Denton Arts Council. It has been rewarding to be a part of a space that is a hub for everything art related in the city of Denton, Texas. In this time, I was able to work with and support all kinds of artists in their own individual journey. As I supported the programs coordinator, I was involved with event planning, managing volunteers, and assisting in gallery events. I also helped fund over $500 for the Greater Denton Arts Council in support of North Texas Giving Day. Interning here has helped me learn more about the inner workings of a nonprofit and how to uplift artists with varying backgrounds.

Computer Lab Attendant
-
Jan 2020 - May 2022
My time working as a lab attendant in the computer lab for the College of Visual Arts and Design was lively, as my main role was to support the students within this school so that they could achieve their artistic endeavors. To fulfill my role, I was tasked with managing equipment to students and staff, handling student’s 3D prints, troubleshooting large format Epson printers, and working with students in any issues they may have when working in the lab. At my two years working here I was able to learn about various technological equipment, digital software, and how to be a guide for students in achieving their work.

Teacher's Assistant
-
May 2019 - Jul 2019
As a Teacher's Assistant I supported the head director of Mount Moriah Learning Center. I worked with and nurtured kids ages 10 months to 4 years old. My position held a great deal of responsibility, as I was an integral part of these kid’s developmental stage. My daily tasks consisted of reading, singing, redirecting negative behavior, and working hands on with the children in projects to help further their understanding. As I worked here full-time for three consecutive summers, each year I learned more about myself, the greatest takeaway being that my driven work ethic allows me to tackle any task.
