The Global Innovation Center (GIC) Colombia was one of 3 innovation environments focused on delivering product innovations for Kimberly Clark’s consumer product range. Our team had a focus on innovation, development, and commercialization of product improvements. I worked in Global Feminine Care Innovation Projects and my achievements within one year include: - Worked as part of a multi-functional team on small scale consumer testing for two major Feminine Care innovation projects to improve pads and liners: Managed product preparation, testing and quality control processes which, including strong collaboration and teamwork, contributed to have successful results and allowed to meet the timeline. - Proposed and implemented new GIC-wide actions to improve purchasing process with 2 tools that help communication and tracking of requests and process failure, resulting in significantly improved process management. During the process, communication with GIC leaders led to fully implement the process within 3 months’ time. - Collaborated in consumer testing studies by supporting the team with: translations of questionnaires between English and Spanish, therefore facilitating the communication between the Latin American region and the product developers. I also resolved an existing challenge regarding the possible loss of sensitive consumer testing data that was stored on a database due to a corrupted file: Used my programming skills and was able to recover and organize the information. - Protection in the Feminine Care category is a key consumer need. I actively ideated and prototyped pads and co-invented a treatment that can be applied to the product that resulted in a reduction of leakage with high process feasibility. Filed for patent.
