Event Project Manager

BIT (EM)POWER was the 6th edition of the BIT Event ( Business Innovation & Trends). This edition was an event promoting the movement of women empowerment, diversity and equal chances, while introducing the newest developments in fashion and technology. As an event project manager I was responsible for the the cumulating point of the event; organising a fashion show which was a wonderful opportunity for me to organise my first fashion show while taking an advantage of my previous international experience as a model and the academic knowledge as well as personal skills. I was responsible for arranging model castings (diversity of beauty), choosing innovative designers, speakers, arranging meetings and rehearsals, and arranging the venue, photographers and DJ and lastly maintain the regular communication between team members, among other responsibilities. This experience as an event manager which significantly raised my leadership and communications skills as well as decision making and efficient problem solving due to many unexpected issues and limitations arising during the organisation process which needed immediate action and finding alternative solutions. I found myself really passionate and strongly excited about this project which helped me to improve my skills that are essential for my future career and it helped me to ensure myself that fashion business is the industry I want to focus my future on. I am really grateful for having this opportunity and I hope that I will be able to organise more fashion events in the future. Show less
