Dr. Piqueira was definitely one of the best professors I have had at the Bauer College of Business! Her expertise over the subjects of economics and finance was easily recognizable, but more importantly, she did an amazing job of transferring a wealth of information to her students in a way that was easy to understand. In addition, Dr. Piqueira assigned interactive projects that helped her students fully absorb classroom material while also improving other areas of their skill set that are highly valued in the job market, such as presentation skills, the ability to work on a team, the ability to synthesize data, communication skills, and the ability to conduct research. On top of all of this, Dr. Piqueira is one of the nicest people you could ever meet, she embodies what all university professors should be like!

With an extensive academic background, Mrs. Piqueira has been able to share a wealth of knowledge. It was in her Investment Management class that I realized finance was the career path that I desired to pursue. She definitely stood out as one of my favorite professors in undergrad. It is rare when a professor with such a rigorous academic background has the soft skills to communicate effectively with students. I highly recommend Mrs. Piqueira as a very accomplished individual.
