Family Foundations is a company that is hired by Pennridge High School to help the teens within the school that require extra attention. Family Foundations provided individual attention, counseling, and connected with a students probation officer if applicable. We had roughly 20 students in our program ranging from 9th-12th grade. The Turn Around calling service was available 24/7 for women who felt they were victims of sexual assault and/or domestic violence. I was one of several trained employees who would sign up for shifts as long as 11 hours, staying on call for any potential requests for help. I was trained to assist the women through the phone is possible, if not, I was to contact a shelter or the police if necessary.
