Tools and Technologies: C++, Qt, SQLite, gtest, Qt Creator, Git, Gerrit, Atlassian JIRA, Atlassian Confluence, Jenkins. Project: Automotive navigation system My Achievements: - I have brought the practice of doing code reviews in person and discussing code review remarks face-to-face. - I was a mediator and negotiator between the local sub-team and the sub-team on the customer side in a conflict situation on a ground of defining a technical design of a new feature. My mediation resulted in defining the design approved by both parties, implementing the feature within the defined timeline and keeping friendly atmosphere in the team and good relationship with the customer. - I have organized and formalized daily routines of the team: each team member complies the flow of JIRA tickets, knows where to get the next task for them, follows the processes established on the project. All the needed steps and rules have been documented in an easy-to-read manner by me, and the link to these instructions has been added to the daily standup invite. - I have established the practice of writing meeting notes after each meeting with the customer and receiving written confirmation from the customer about the correctness of these notes in case of requirements were discussed. Short Description: This is an application and a service that helps the user to secure, organize and share their data across many devices and services, including (but not limited to) data from the PC, mobile devices, cloud storage (e.g. MS Office 365, Gmail, Google Drive, etc). My Achievements: Despite a total lack of documentation of the MS SharePoint structure and its public API, I have managed to implement a prototype of a backup engine for MS SharePoint. Show less

Tools and Technologies: C++ (98, 11), Qt, MS Visual Studio (2010, 2012), Tortoise SVN. Short Description: The product this project belongs to is a supply chain management system. The role of the Tools team is to provide general modules which can be used by other teams for their specific applications. This includes some independent UI blocks, reusable UI frameworks, visual reports frameworks, supporting syntax parser and code editor for the internal script language, etc. The team is also heavily engaged in UX and look-and-feel improvements of the applications. My Achievements: - I was a technical owner of the pivot tables module. I knew by heart the logic behind calculating these aggregated data structures, as well as their visualization and configuration by the user. I designed all new features of this module, keeping the code supportable and easily extendable. - I have initiated, supported and maintained the process of writing documentation (both technical and functional) and keeping it up-to-date. - I was a mediator in a conflict between the customer and one of my team members. I collected, structured and prioritized all the customer’s complaints, verified my summary with them, and brought this feedback to this team member in a friendly and constructive manner. Unfortunately, this person was not motivated in staying on the project, and in the end I agreed with the customer that their collaboration must be terminated. I have managed to keep healthy and trustful atmosphere in the team and good relationship with the customer after this incident. Show less
