Additionally, I have lead bills that were introduced by the Congresswoman such as the Transgender Day of Remembrance Resolution. I assist with bill development and legislative strategy for the Congresswoman in the 117th Congress and manage the Congresswoman’s rigorous constituent correspondence program. I drafted our office’s policy platform on key issues ranging from healthcare to criminal justice from scratch and cleared out a backlog of ~32,000 messages. I also co-founded the Middle Eastern and North African Staff Association, a bicameral, non-partisan staff organization.
