From the minute Nasser joined Interfaith Youth Core, he was determined to make our team more efficient and effective. Whether it was through strategy alignment, internal team collaboration, or analytics tracking, he encouraged us to develop data-driven, creative, and strategic solutions. Nasser's strength as a leader lies in his trust of his teammates. As a supervisor, Nasser placed a heavy emphasis on independence, innovation, and team work. He firmly believed that we needed to be collaborative and cohesive as a team, but also be the experts in our respective areas. He was involved with our work to ensure that we had his support and guidance, but was careful to give us the space to grow as individual marketers. His openness to feedback and ideas contributed to a great team dynamic. Nasser brought the concept of streamlined diversification to Interfaith Youth Core's marketing strategy. It was simply not enough to allocate spend to a variety of channels and say that the brand had presence of awareness. He placed a heavy emphasis on the right channels, with right messaging, and at the right time. He encouraged us to track progress and optimize throughout a marketing campaign instead of waiting till the end to assess what we could have done differently. Nasser is truly an asset to any team. His leadership skills and vast marketing experience will lead any team to success.

Nasser is a highly combustable marketing fuel for social causes and non-profit campaigns. He is an efficient and vocal collaborator, and the more complex a strategy the more passionate he becomes about the challenge. I'm glad to have learned from his work.

I use media to advance the cause of interfaith cooperation in the higher education sector. My team and I perform a dual role, communicating IFYC's message broadly to a movement of tens of thousands while simultaneously marketing IFYC's many programs to students, staff, faculty and administrators on campuses that are ready to make interfaith cooperation a priority. Planned, negotiated and enacted media campaigns for a major U.S. wireless brand. In this role I conducted media research, and acted as a junior strategist to create media plans, based on very specific campaign goals, across multiple channels. Each day I worked with our clients and creative agency partners and oversaw a large and diverse group of media vendors.

Facilitated communication between the account team and the client, vendors and internal teams. Spotted trends in social media at a time when YouTube was new and people still used MySpace (the first time...). Wrote some snazzy decks. Drank a lot of free beer. Learned the real, down-to-the-bone basics of how to service clients and help them tell their brand's story.
