  • Performed biological studies leading to the development and characterization of receptor-targeted fusion proteins for therapeutic use in cancer, HIV, and autoimmune diseases. • Developed and implemented cell-based assays and techniques to support research and pre-clinical studies, including the CTLL-2 assay for quantitation of rIL-2 activity, immunofluorescence, clonogenic assays for tumor cell growth, EIA for determination of fusion protein levels in serum and MTT assay for cell viability. • Set up a laboratory to produce monoclonal antibodies directed at a fusion protein. • Developed, screened and maintained key monoclonal reagents required for product-related assay systems. • Developed and standardized a product bioassay for measurement of product potency and supervised the transfer of this assay to Quality Control. • Special studies on IND filings, such as EIA, to measure specific anti-fusion protein antibody levels in animal and patient sera. • Served as a company point-person for transfer of bioassay techniques to Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and monoclonal antibody technology to the Radium Hospital in Oslo, Norway.
