Experience

    • Research Services
    • 1 - 100 Employee
    • Head of Program Development and International Relations
      • Jan 2022 - Present

The Information and Research Center – King Hussein Foundation (IRCKHF) serves as a catalyst for socioeconomic transformation through research, information and dissemination of knowledge. My role at IRCKHF is primarily focused on identifying and analysing new programme opportunities within Jordan, as well as regularly monitoring opportunities from Global Communities’ key donors. I also oversee fundraising in terms of writing proposals, building institutional partnerships and representing the organization on different platforms. As a passionate researcher, it goes without saying that I provide support to the research team when needed.

    • Senior Consultant

Manafeth Consulting & Training is a boutique consultancy firm that offers integrated services in areas that include market research, export promotion and enhancement. My consulting journey kicked off back in 2018 when I started working with Manafeth. This experience has immensely sharpened my research and project management skills. I was responsible for developing proposals and concept notes, conducting research, and overseeing project design and implementation. At Manafeth, I was exposed to a diverse range of topics and issues, including socioeconomic, export, market intelligence, and analysis.

    • Program Manager - Science Diplomacy Program
      • Oct 2014 - Dec 2017

The Royal Scientific Society (RSS) is the largest applied research institution, consultancy, and technical support service provider in Jordan and is a regional leader in science & technology. In terms of the scope of my responsibilities, my work at RSS was diverse. Through the science diplomacy programme, I have worked to introduce and promote the concept of science diplomacy at the local and regional levels. I was fortunate to build a worldwide network of scientists and professionals through interactions with local, regional, and global scientific communities. Importantly, this journey has sharpened and shaped my intellectual rigour and my thinking. In terms of achievements, there are 3 particular accomplishments I wish to mention: ✅ Navigated the introduction of the Newton Fund to Jordan which led to the signing of a £3.5 Million MoU between the UK and Jordanian governments in August 2017. ✅ Orchestrated the overall planning and organization of the 1st Arab Leadership Dialogue on Science Advice to Government held in Dead Sea, Jordan (13-14 December 2016), in partnership with UN ESCWA Technology Centre. ✅ Orchestrated the overall planning and organization of the 1st Regional Forum on Science & Technology Diplomacy held in Amman, Jordan (1-2 December 2015), in partnership with UN ESCWA Technology Centre.

    • Consultant - Science Diplomacy
      • Feb 2015 - Apr 2017

UN-ETC is a specialized Regional Centre committed to assisting members of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) by strengthening their science, Technology, and innovation (STI) capabilities. My work at UN-ETC involved establishing a visible link between UN-ESCWA Technology Center and other entities working in the field of Science Diplomacy. Additionally, I was responsible for identifying synergies, partnerships and potential avenues of cooperation between the centre and other organizations. I also worked on writing concept notes and special briefs.

    • Chief of Staff
      • Feb 2010 - May 2013

El Hassan Science City (EHSC) l is a non-government, not-for-profit organization and a comprehensive campus for education, research and applied innovation that offers students, scientists and entrepreneurs space and facilities to apply intellect and technology to today’s critical challenges. Overseeing the work of the President's office was my primary responsibility. I was responsible for coordinating HRH the President's activities with those of other divisions and departments. In addition, I oversaw and coordinated the local and international activities of the President. In addition, I was actively involved in organising annual events to facilitate networking and the transfer of research findings and approaches to ensure the implementation of the research agenda of one of the El Hassan Science City components, the Royal Scientific Society.

    • Protocol Officer
      • Sep 2004 - Jan 2010

It was a pleasure and a challenge to work as a Protocol Officer. Through this position, I provided logistical and technical support for HRH's activities at the local and international levels. My communication skills, high-level networking, ability to operate and make decisions under extreme pressure and attention to detail have been vastly improved by this journey's experience.
