King's Entrepreneurship Institute

Narges completed the King’s Experience Enterprise Award in 2020. Through attending workshops and events, undertaking a self-assessment, peer-assessed task, self-led learning and a reflective essay, Narges has embraced King’s 7 Skills of an Entrepreneurial Mindset and developed their ability to compel others, have disruptive ideas, validate those ideas and assumptions through lean testing, show resilience in the face of setbacks, understand the importance of a diverse team, and get things done!

Research assistant in a study supervised by PhD candidate Divyush Khemka and Dr Caroline Catmur investigating higher-order social factors, like self-focus, that might modulate self-other control in a neurotypical sample. My responsibilities included participant recruitment and data collection, entry, and processing. I was also involved in editing and reviewing the paper and was a co-author of the article. • Junior Research Psychologist & Psychometrician Assistant
      • Sep 2019 - Aug 2020

Psychometrician Assistant and Junior Research Psychologist at Arctic Shores as part of my Professional Placement Year program at King's, followed by a summer internship. I designed numerical and verbal reasoning psychometric items for use in their game-based assessments. I also undertook literature searches to inform these designs. Used platforms like Survey Gizmo and Prolific to administer tests to validate psychometric items, and gained insights on how to analyse data and determine usability. I was also responsible for the financial management of these tests, as well as for candidate experience, feedback and payments. I gained extensive experience in research and psychometrics, and occupational, personality and cognitive psychology. I also conducted systematic literature reviews, designed norm groups and analysed data using R (t-tests, ANOVAs, multiple linear regressions, and more advanced analyses like Confirmatory and Exploratory Factor Analyses as well as using SEM models).
