 Championed six-sigma and other lean manufacturing techniques and brought in a remarkable improvement the quality performance of the plant.  Drafted standard operating procedures for new equipment before commissioning and trained the process owners accordingly.  Led and directed the implementation of Quality System as per TS16949, QS9000, AAR (Association of American Railroads), and ISO 14001 requirements.  Strongly focused on quality compliance of internal customers and ensured adherence to quality standards.  Established process control methods throughout the manufacturing realization process  Implemented Supplier Quality Management system and audits  Acted as a key contributor in sustaining the certification of QS 9000, ISO 14001 & AAR (Association of American Railroads) and ensured its implementation and compliance in the shop floor.  Responded to various customer complaints, thoroughly investigated and conducted CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) and monitored its implementation from time to time by conducting internal quality system audits.  Identified and communicated CTQ (Critical To Quality) parameters to the concerned departments.  Successfully installed and efficiently monitored the quality information system for accurate management reporting in MR meetings at different levels.  Played a crucial role in obtaining good system and performance rating from OEMs and organized lead quality associated programs to obtain self-certification from O.E.M customers.   Implemented statistical tools and conducted periodic process/machine capability study and measurement system analysis.  Created TQM awareness in the organization by conducting several awareness programs and suggested necessary changes when required for continues improvement.  Responsible for initiation, process completion, and implementation of all six sigma projects in the organization.  Show less
