It's difficult to put in words the tremendous contribution Narayana made to IT Convergence of his nearly 6 years of service. At the point he joined, we were a fledgling off-shore team of approximately 70 people. Under Narayana's leadership IT Convergence quickly grew to more than 300 Oracle Applications experts. The headcount doesn't really honor the accomplishment. Many companies are much larger. However, Narayana was able to assemble a team of true Oracle EXPERTS unmatched by any company in India. Our initial goal was to off load the night work and the easy routine tasks. As the team matured, we realized our India team was in many cases more capable of handling complex issues than even our US team. He is truly a great leader. Narayana brought in the team that then created finely tuned processes. Our clients often commented and complimented the fact that we were able to execute complex multi-day hosting transitions, upgrades and go-lives without a hitch. That would not have been possible without our India team. Despite his many technical accomplishments, what I found most endearing about working with Narayana was his impeccable character. I would trust him with my life. For a US company trying to grow a team in India, it's simply not possible without having 100% confidence in your local leadership. I could sleep at night knowing that Narayana and his team had us covered. More than anyone else, Narayana taught ME how to be the CEO of a global company by building an Indian Operations team that is second to none.
