I was able to gain valuable clinical experience by shadowing doctors in different departments. Through this, I was introduced to some of the complex challenges experienced by people living in the communities and the difficulties those in the medical profession experience due to lack of resources/equipment. My team and I also led a community action project which included volunteering at a local orphanage helping to feed and clean the children; harvesting grain; gardening and teaching very basic English at a primary school.
