I worked with the Widening Participation outreach team to encourage school students from underrepresented backgrounds to consider the Univeristy of Bristol as an option for Higher education. This involved conducting talks about student life and Q&A sessions (in person and virtually), facilitating the Modern Languages stream of the 'Access to Bristol' programme and the Modern Languages stream of the Sutton Trust Summer School. I worked with the Global Lounge to welcome international students to the University of Bristol through facilitating online Q&A sessions, a Games Cafe and a Language Cafe to provide for their practical, social and wellbeing needs during their time in the UK. I worked with the School of Modern Language Outreach by going into local schools to help GCSE students prepare for their oral French and German exams and conducting film discussion webinars alongside academics.

During my year abroad as part of my degree, I worked in the Project Management department of this translation company where I dealt with private client translation enquiries in person, by phone and by email, oversaw translation projects from offering clients a quote, commissioning a translator, sending the translation for proofreading to delivering the translation in the desired format to the client. I also proofread and edited texts translated from either French, German or Italian into English.
