  • Monitor and ensure compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards and office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) in regards to health, safety and nutrition standards as they relate to the content area plans. • Update and implement the health, safety and nutrition content area plans annually, in accordance with Head Start performance standards, OCFS, and CAFCP. • Provide technical assistance to center managers and staff to support the implementation of the content area plans. • Develop and maintain an effective record keeping system for the health and nutrition component. • Act as a resource to families in promoting parent involvement, encouraging responsibility for their child’s health. • Facilitate staff training opportunities to enhance the quality of programs and meet all OCFS and OSHA regulations, including CPR, SIDS, Shaken baby syndrome and First Aide Training. • Plan and implement all components of the Pregnant Women’s Program.
