  The task of managing 6 different Mobile Operators is to ensure they have the best possible commercial deals and all times and receive the best support possible for all their needs. The task also requires a lot of know-how of the industry, soft skills to manage the different owners and CEO’s, as well as managing internal stakeholders and support staff. We started on a very new concept in the Malaysian telecommunication industry, Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) and we have succeeded in participating in the recruitment and launching six new MVNO’s. Different wholesale deals had to be created for each MVNO as all our partners had different requirements for their intended market segment. The MVNO’s are expected to contribute positively to Celcom’s mobile market share as well as increasing Celcom’s profits. Overall, the 6 MVNO’s launched is expected to contribute well over RM 550 million in 2019. As the concept of MVNO and wholesale was new in Celcom, a lot of ingenuity had to be used in conceptualizing the commercial deals, which are different from one MVNO to the other. Tasks performed after that includes comprehensive contract negotiations and signing, complex network design and implementation, project management and lastly providing business advisory to the MVNO’s to ensure their success.
