Enthalpy of mixing and vaporization of seven binary mixtures at 298K and 308K

  • This work was carried out in two phases. (Published two sets of data in a scientific journal) • Enthalpy of mixing was measured for seven binary mixtures at variable physical conditions (temperature and pressure). • Heat of vaporization for the same mixtures was obtained and the data are useful in the design of separation equipment • Developed and modified the apparatus according to the experimental design • The apparatus of enthalpy of mixing was tested with a known system Benzene – i-Butyl Alcohol and the data obtained was in very good agreement with literature values • Experiments were then conducted to measure heat of vaporization for the same mixtures • Analyzed the data set of various results and prepared the graphical representation of data • Analyzed the binary result curves to understand the behaviour of binary mixtures at different physical condition Show less
