      Sign in on department time sheet and check communications binder/board for any special preparations of the day; 2. Count and verify all floats, if applicable; 3. Update the function sheet and make folios for each function; 4. Brief all staff for upcoming shift. Shift Duties:  Act as replacement Manager when required;  Arrange shuttle service when required;  Assist with all guest needs;  Assist with accounts receivable;  Block and pre-register for guests as instructed; 2.6  Check Canad Inns website for news and updates;  Communicate with all hotel departments efficiently;  Complete all transactions and daily deposits, and verify float counts;  Direct phone calls as necessary;  Distribute paycheques;  Ensure lobby and public areas are kept clean and well-maintained;  Ensure incidental services (movies, phones, video games, etc.) are active or restricted as per guest request or as instructed;  Explain all hotel amenities, hours of operations and hotel policies to guests;  Finalize daily requirements through property management system and duties from Guest Services Agents;  Greet each guest in a friendly and polite manner;  Keep track of Lost & Found items;  Maintain current and updated reports (arrivals, departures, in-house guest lists, wake-up call logs, etc.);  Monitor surveillance equipment regularly, and ensure it is in good working order;  Operate the switchboard efficiently, handling and directing calls accordingly;  Perform check-ins and check-outs as required;  Post banquet, dining room and phone payments and deposits accordingly;  Prepare a month-end for Manager’s review;  Program wake-up calls;  Provide guidance for all staff;  Receive and review all employment applications;  Review and file Housekeeping sheets;  Sort incoming and outgoing mail and sign for deliveries;  Take all special requests and lists for Club purposes; Show less
