I worked closely with Nancy for 2 years at Hive and was her line manager for a short period. She is an excellent digital analyst and through her time at Hive has grown from "just being an analyst" to managing and developing a graduate; managing our third party relationships with analytics agencies and digital tools; leading an analytics self-serve/ training programme; and has produced the most extensive end-to-end review of our website performance in the history of the business - which had clear recommendations for improvements, and went on to underpin a c£500k investment in a Digital Transformation project. She is at ease presenting to all stakeholder groups, ranging from formal presentations to Director and Managing Director level, to working regularly with peers and digital product owners to diagnose issues and build a sales optimisation roadmap. Throughout all of this Nancy has maintained a commitment to analytical integrity and helps stakeholders understand complex results and the importance of statistical significance in A/B testing. She's great fun to work with too!

One of my key accomplishments in this role was defining the data and analytics strategy. I delved into revenue opportunities, enhanced existing processes, and developed new reporting systems. This comprehensive approach enabled me to unearth and capitalise on previously untapped growth areas. I also initiated a restructure within my team to enhance the delivery of our services. Every stakeholder was assigned a dedicated analyst, streamlining communication and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our data-driven decisions. I have taken proactive steps to improve data literacy across the organisation. Regular training sessions for all platforms have empowered my colleagues to understand and utilise data more effectively, enhancing overall business performance. Another key part of my role has been introducing advanced analysis. By emphasising actionable insights, like Lifetime Value (LTV), regression, and text analytics, I have enabled more strategic, informed decision making across the business. I'm particularly proud of the optimisation strategy I developed, which has driven an impressive $6 million of annualised revenue to date. This result is testament to the power of data-driven decision making and strategic optimisation. I have led a team through a mix of mentorship and direction to ensure they excel in their roles. Through this hands-on approach, I've been able to nurture their development while contributing to the success of the business. This significant uplift is a testament to the power of innovative, data-driven decision-making strategies. My responsibilities extended to the end-to-end management of Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO). I created a CRO and personalisation roadmap, implemented tests using the VEC, analysed the results, and recommended feature roll outs. This systematic approach allowed for continuous improvement and growth. One significant achievement was the implementation of a benefit tracking framework and new KPIs for feature releases. This provided a more robust system for tracking our success and shaping our product development strategy. As part of my role, I also offered training to stakeholders. By sharing my knowledge and expertise, I helped empower others to make more informed, data-driven decisions. I regularly presented to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership, giving strategic insights and updates.
