Katrina Navallo, Ph.D.
Since May 2022, I have been working with Eric, as we call him, in implementing the ASEAN Japan Ecoschool in 8 ASEAN countries and Japan. He is the project’s media manager and handles the main Facebook page and ensures effective communication in both English and Japanese. In the six months since we launched the page, he managed to gain more than 200 organic followers from our target audience of elementary and high school students with an interest on marine plastic waste. His creative vision, careful planning and posting strategies kept the page alive and the audience engaged. He also created content in various forms. Aside from this, he lends his creative skill in contributing to the other project’s aesthetic form and appeal. I commend Eric for effectively sustaining our communication and engagement with our audience and stakeholders in ASEAN and Japan, and for being a key asset to the successful implementation of the program in the region.
