R&D Project Manager - Polymer and Material Technologies For Medical Devices
-
May 2020 - Mar 2022
I lead cross-functional projects related to assessment and development of advanced polymer-based materials which meet the standards of safety and performance of medical devices.• Coordinated the feasibility and validation tests, resulting in technical reports on the selected raw material.• Generated project documentation according to design control process.• Created an internal comparative polymer database to optimize the choice of polymers.• Collaborated closely with 5 BUs, 11 manufacturing sites, suppliers, and purchase, quality and regulatory affairs departements.• Collected, provided comprehensive analysis of fundamental data through bibliographic research, and preparated technical reports that became the basis for:-extension of the shelf-life of an oncology device during storage which leads to gain productivity (implemented).-understanding the challenges and opportunities of new generation of biomaterials in medical devices (pending).-studying the effectiveness of plastics blends to gain insight into their compatibility, morphologies, and mechanical properties (implemented).• Cooperated closely with French public research laboratories related to the development of antimicrobial materials for medical devices, and optimization of the arterial pressure signal.• Supervised an engineering student.

R&D Project Leader - Specific Anti-Biofilm Wound Dressing | Controlled Release System
-
Oct 2016 - Dec 2019
As a principal investigator, I realized the project entitled "Development of a wound dressing as a specific anti-biofilm protein release system. Towards chronic wound healing" in Polymers, Biopolymers, Surfaces laboratory, UMR CNRS 6270. Funded by GRR CRUNCh SESA Normandy Region and the European Regional Development Fund.Produced 2 scientific publications, 6 oral presentations and 3 posters at national and international conferences.• Managed an R&D project.• Designed a wound dressing from biodegradable polymers with an interconnected porous network that promotes the healing of a chronic wound.• Managed the physico-chemical performances (mechanical, gas permeability) required for wound dressing.• Studied the loading and the release profile of actives substances (proteins and antibiotic-loaded nanoparticles).• Evaluated the biological activity using an in vitro bacterial biofilm model.• Conducted the cytocompatibility tests using 2-D and 3-D reconstructed human epidermis models.• Collaborated closely with both internal (3 teams) and external (LMSM Laboratory, Evreux) units.• Supervised undergraduate student.• Taught practical work for undergraduate chemist and biologist students (72 hours).• Participated in public science event (Festival de l'Excellence Normande). Courses: • Innovation and project management (55 hours).• Training including bacterial biofilms, antibiotic resistance, and surface functionalization (70 hours).
