  Research on Hydrodynamics and Mass transfer studies in a Continuous counter-current Liquid-Solid system. The objectives were to determine the pressure drop, solids holdup, surface area, flow regimes for free system, restricted free system, multistage restricted free system and bottom restrained system for various particles types, sizes, liquid and solid velocities. Modelling and simulation of all the above-mentioned systems using Two-Fluid theory in MATLAB platform. Adsorption studies for the removal colour or any kind of applications. The colour removal studies were carried out in a continuous mode. A correlation was established which could predict the results well.
