EDA provides 19 weeks of full immersion, hands on training in web development. The curriculum focuses on full stack JavaScript with ES5/6/7, node, ReactJS, redux.js, Object-Oriented Programming, functional programming, SQL, noSQL databases, HTML5, CSS3, as well as pair programming, agile, behaviour driven development and test driven development. In this course, we learnt how to learn. Everything new and different was accepted as a challenge and we were encouraged to take on tasks well outside of our comfort zone. In this way, we learnt much more than I thought possible over the 19 weeks. EDA has given me confidence in my ability to learn under pressure and inspired me to follow my passion for web development. EDA also provided a safe environment to explore my own learning style as well as work closely with my peers on challenging projects. We learnt to overcome communication blocks and adapt our working styles to be able to work together in the most efficient and FUN way possible.
