ELV Engineer

• Conduct survey, prepare plans and designs to implement Physical Security and ELV systems at Sohar University.• Preparing site plans and BOQ for related systems and raising RFQ through line manager.• Evaluating contractor’s quotations, negotiating, discussing and finalizing request.• Diligently maintaining Physical Security Systems to a high standard of repair and managing day to day issues. • On-line monitoring of equipment and perform system log verification.• Carry out all recommended Firmware updates and software updates on servers and devices.• Responsible for troubleshooting CCTV and Access Control system issues (HW/SW) to find root cause of the problem and deploy known solutions or escalate to external contractors.• Responsible for troubleshooting Network and Server issues (HW/SW) to find root cause of the problem and deploy know solutions or escalate to Level 3• Execute Planned Preventive Maintenance Program• Ensures that the technical support/service task is done within the allocated time schedule as per received request.• Take initiative to generate opportunities for variations, service, maintenance and spare parts business on projects.• Configuration and installation of Analog and Digital CCTV Cameras and NVR’s and other ELV systems such as Access Control, PA system, Projectors, etc.• Preparation and submission of reports to management and handover of projects.• Turning in daily activity sheets and reporting to management accordingly.• Handles other duties relative to the job as assigned by management• Deliver the works at the prescribed quality standards. Fiber Optic Technician / ELV Team Leader

 Conduct survey, prepare plans and designs to implement Fiber Optic Cables / CAT-6 at buildings, malls, villas and shops.  Guiding and supervising team for different structured cabling systems cable pulling and systems installations.  Termination of fiber optic cable in patch panel and accurately labeling the cable subsequent to comprehensive testing, in accordance with established working practices as per DU and Etisalat.  Diligently maintaining fiber optic cable to a high standard of repair and managing end to end testing if necessary, locating cable faults using OTDR before resolving the fiber optic problem.  Configuration of IP CCTV Cameras and NVR’s and other ELV systems.  Preparation and submission of test reports to end customers and handover of projects.  Turning in daily activity sheets and reporting to management accordingly.  Handles other duties relative to the job as assigned by management

A) Optical Fibre Technician / Team Leader (“ALLIANCE INFRASTRUCTURE LTD”, Subcontracting Company for “RELIANCE COMMUNICATIONS LTD” – From 01/06/2014 to Till Date)Responsibilities Includes: Preventive and Corrective maintenance of Fibre network (OSP & ISP) for a Leading Telecom Company “Reliance Communications LTD”. Cover 300 Km area network across Raigad District in Maharashtra. Attend to complaints & emergencies related to Fibre networks to resolve issues in coordination with Network Operation Centre. Perform regular testing (OTDR & OLT) for the backbone fibre networks to ensure attenuation is always within the stipulated margin. Lead a team for laying, installation & termination of Fibre Optic Cables at Various Fibre distribution hubs. Ensure all connections are labelled. Keep track of Fibre utilization record. Prepare monthly reports and handover to OEM Engineer. Work in odd shifts and to be standby 24/7
