      The SDG200 course was take place onboard the Norwegian sailing vessel Statsraad Lemkuhl from May 1– August 25, 2022, while sailing across the Pacific from Valparaíso in Chile to Palau. Participating students were part of the crew and have all their classes onboard. UiB teachers teach onboard the ship about the important topics of ocean, climate and society related to the UN’s sustainable development goals, especially SDG 14 Life below water and SDG 13 Climate action. The course is an interdisciplinary 30 ECTS course called Ocean-climate-society (SDG200) and is open for students from all academic backgrounds, as solving sustainability challenges demands extensive collaboration across fields.
