English Language Tutor delivering academic English language course as part of the University's Preparatory Year Programme. Beyond the academic delivery of English classes to first-year university students, I spent some time developing teaching materials, researching regional and country-specific issues impacting the higher education sector and making suggestions to improve the delivery and content of the University's Preparatory Year Programme. • Egyptian Arabic Tutor
      • Sep 2008 - Jan 2009

Teaching Egyptian colloquial Arabic to mature English speakers with an interest in Egypt and Egyptology, for the purposes of travel and tourism. Teaching method emphasised speaking skills and I notably enabled students to reach the speaking stage from complete beginners within a short time (3 months). Beyond course delivery, I notably designed learning materials based on the historical artifacts on display in the museum which were published online by UCL.
