Being a subject matter expert, Injury Management Advisor (IMA) is responsible for providing advice and coaching to our frontline claims management staff, ie, Claims Officers (COs), on the management of a claim, with the aim to empower our COs to make appropriate and confident injury management decisions, resulting in improvement in the injured person’s satisfaction, return to function and/or work outcomes and overall efficient claims management. IMA is also responsible to actively engage with stakeholders, including medical professionals, treatment and rehab providers, to drive decisions regarding the provision of reasonable and necessary medical and/or rehabilitation services to achieve better outcomes. Other responsibilities include, but not limited to: - Providing coaching and mentoring to our COs on a day-to-day basis - Actively contribute to the implementation and uptake of QBEs key strategic initiatives - Proactively research and analyse data to identify risks and develop and implement strategies to manage those risks. - Monitor rehabilitation programs, and liaise and negotiate with external providers - Implement, monitor, and audit rehabilitation compliance, and prepare material and case studies for audits, and training
