Food Technologist Student

Feb 2012 - Jul 2013
I have worked as a Food Technologist student at Australian Blending Company located in Kilsyth, Victoria. I am competent in designing experiments, which enables companies to either create an entirely new product or reverse engineer the existing product for new market. I am interested to work with quality control team for quality food production and services. At Australian Blending Company my responsibilities were to perform quality checks, evaluate and recommend alternative ingredients in terms of sensory and cost analysis. Similarly, I was involved in different product development projects especially in formulation of sports nutrition, flavored milk and chocolate drinks. Proper documentation of all the formulations, communication with clients an technical department were other major tasks. My achievements during work at ABC were 1. Successful launch of new products in following caragories. • Breakfast Cereals: Instant Oats, • Beverages: New Drinking Chocolate flavours and Chai, • Sports Nutrition shakes 2. Worked to slove issues of masking unpalatable flavours of amino acids in sports Nutrition Shakes which ultimately allowed the project to be commercialised. 3. Maintenance of Xyris foodworks database to generate accurate nutrition information improving R&D time response to provide information to customers quickly and efficiently and reducing money spent on laboratory analysis. 4. Development of Shelf-life Procedure for dry product mix to provide ABC customers with informed shelf life product information. Show less

Demonstrator to Undergraduate students
-
Aug 2012 - Aug 2012
I worked as a demonstrator in August 2012 at the University of Melbourne. The main jobs as a demonstrator were to show the accurate procedure for gram staining, microscopy and spectro-photometry. In addition, I also assisted two students in their projects on anti-oxidants. As a result all the students completed their undergraduate studies and few have enrolled in Master of Food Science Degree. I worked as a demonstrator in August 2012 at the University of Melbourne.
