As the business has developed and grown, so has the role of Environment and Safety Manager. The addition of new sites, new staff, changing capabilities of the business unit and increases of staffing levels have all meant that the role has progressed covering all aspects of environment, safety and training management. The environment and safety department is a support mechanism to the business, interacting with all staff, management and divisional leaders to ensure safety and environmental performance is improved and upheld. Over the three and a half years I managed Health and Safety in the workplace, I was able to guide the Ozcon team to improve the Health and Safety culture ultimately reducing incident rates from 2012 to 2015.
