I have enjoyed working with Myrthe so much! For roughly 7 years I got to be her colleague at Hike One and I was her team lead for the last three years. She is simply a pleasure to work with; intelligent, communicative and thorough in everything she does. She built lasting relationships with every client she worked for. At many of our important clients, such as ANWB, eBay, Liberty Global and Koppert she took lead of the work, became part of their teams and helped them further in any way she could: On design challenges, ux research or with process management. But apart from being a very experienced designer, Myrthe is also a warm and friendly person. She is always there for the team when someone needs her help - and she's always there’s a drink or group activity to be enjoyed together. Oh, and she’s hands-down the most sportive colleague I’ve ever met - thanks for making us all feel like couch-potatoes in comparison! ;-) Thanks for all the amazing years at Hike One, Myrthe! I have had the pleasure of working with Myrthe for the past year. Myrthe joined the first 'pioneer team' of Marktplaats as a UX designer, in which we set out to explore new opportunities of high value, both for users and for business, beyond our current product team focus areas. The specific areas of interest we worked on were 'locality' and 'likemindedness', in which we explored different kinds of concepts to bring users with shared locations and shared interests together, with the goal to make them more successful at trading on our platform. Since these topics were largely unexplored, the project started with a very broad scope. Myrthe played a key role in getting a thorough understanding of the topics as a team and in crafting the product strategy. In the execution of this strategy, we moved to validating our main hypotheses with users, for which we used a broad mix of methods (user interviews, web/app experiments, concept tests, etc.). Myrthe is not only good at asking the right questions (what do we need to know to validate this?), but is also excellent in setting up the research/tests needed to get the right answers (methods to use, planning, briefing, and also: clarifying the definition of success). She makes sure she gets the right people onboard: both people in the organisation that can help to make it happen, as well as the buy-in from the different members of the pioneer team, so they feel involved and know why, what and how. Last but not least, Myrthe is excellent at following up and feeding (user) information back into the organisation, as well as reminding others in the team of follow-up actions. A real team-player, always interested in what's going on and what's up next, and in general a very likeable personality to have around!

Samen waren we verantwoordelijk dat de requirements en specificaties voldoende duidelijk waren voor de app ontwikkelaars. Myrthe is creatief, enthousiast, vakkundig op gebied van de laatste UX tooling (zoals InVision, Sketch, ZepLin). Hoewel interactie-ontwerp haar primaire terrein is, heeft ze ook al het visual design werk voor haar rekening genomen (en dat is dan ook nog eens dubbel omdat we zowel Android als iOS designs nodig hebben). Ook meedenken en meehelpen op gebied van formuleren user stories en invulling acceptatiecriteria is ze sterk. Ik begrijp dat het goed is als ze vanwege haar persoonlijke ontwikkeling na 15 maanden weer naar een andere klant gaat. Kan alleen maar zeggen dat ik haar vakmanschap en persoonlijkheid ga missen. En voor andere klanten is het fijn als ze weer beschikbaar komt!
