The USNH Okinawa Patient Safety Program is a comprehensive program implemented in conjunction with the DoD Patient Safety Program in an effort to reduce risk to patients and improve patient safety awareness from a proactive approach. Border Surveillance Epidemiologist

Liaison for AZDHS and Servicios de Salud Sonora, as well as the Tohono O'odham Nation Health Department to conduct binational and trinational investigations of instances of infectious disease along the U.S. - Mexico border region. Created and developed close working relationships with local health department epidemiologists. Tracked and reported trends of infectious disease surveillance along the US - Mexico border.
