  6 months internship at Invest in France Agency (IFA United Kingdom & Ireland), the French Government Agency for International Investment in London➢ Business / Corporate Development • Daily extensive research and analysis sifting through the business news, the internet and the different business support solutions to find the more relevant companies to aim for• Using Excel spreadsheets to organise potentially relevant companies by sector and by geographical location to help the project manager to target the right companies that were more likely to have projects for France• Identifying potential clients through direct marketing activities: email shots, mailing and cold calling• Assisting meetings and in charge of writing up the synopsis and follow up reports➢ Marketing / Communication• Assisting the communications director in the morning with the press cuttings and different newsletters and also in the organisation of events i.e. the annual company cocktail party held at Lords Cricket Ground by compiling a guest list from 750 potential guests from the database, sending invites electronically, post as well as phoning people• Updating the agency’s database by adding / amending / deleting new companies through research of the Internet or business support solutions i.e. Dun & Bradstreet, Hoovers or Bureau Van Dijk, Orbis
