I was a Chemical Dependency Professional Trainee (CDPT) in the New Path department at Columbia Valley Community Health. I assisted in the development of the new chemical dependency program, New Path. I also helped develop numerous community outreach programs for New Path as well. Some of the community outreach programs I worked with were; the juvenile detention center for Chelan County and Westside High School, the alternative high school in Wenatchee. I was in charge of intakes, evaluations, counseling (group and individual), treatment planning and case management at the program. New Path is an adult program that works with co-occurring patients and patients that are participating in medically assisted treatment.
