Mike is one of the best! He is a leader who serves with a servant leader mentality. I would hire him in a second!

Michael is one of the few people who have genuinely devoted their lives to environment conservation. Every conversation with him is a learning experience for me. Sustainability is always on his mind. Greenspaces is an actively contributing, well respected organization in Chattanooga because Michael runs it with so much passion. It has been an honor to work directly with Michael as a volunteer and a board member.

We help people and businesses take practical and cost-effective steps to improve the environmental, social, and economic outcomes in their community, business, or building. We do that through award winning programs like Empower, which helps build resilience in vulnerable urban and rural communities through energy efficiency and community capacity; Build it Green, a leadership and workforce development program for at-risk young adults; green|light, Chattanooga's green business certification; green|leader, an online certificate for professionals that want to build a culture of sustainability in their business; and our NextGen Homes, a demonstration development of net zero energy homes that protect and promote health that we built at market rate and sold at market rate. We also partner with development teams and homebuilders that want to build high-performance, healthy buildings and homes. Our events include the Chattanooga Green Prix, where local students design, build and race electric vehicles, monthly Lunch and Learns, Green Drinks networking meet-ups, and the BRIC Awards that recognize the best work happening in the building and sustainability industries. We have received two Governor's Environmental Stewardship Awards and the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce awarded us their first ever Community Collaborator Award in 2019 for the work we do with over 100 partner businesses and organizations in the Chattanooga region. Emerald Operating Partners is a global advisory firm consisting of business operations experts with a track record of driving growth and change at companies leading the energy transition. We support corporate clients, private equity firms, and investment funds with a range of advisory and implementation services.
