Deducing Firm Capacity of Renewable Energy Sources (Solar) Motivation: • Studying the effects of increased penetration renewable energies have on the system reliability of national grids. • Designing models and simulations to increase the system reliability by increasing the Firm Capacity of these renewable energy sources. Actionable items: • Performed a comparative research study undertaken by LUMS Energy Institute (LEI) on improving system efficiencies of Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park (Largest Solar plant of Pakistan, 400 MWp). • Used Monte Carlo simulations mapped onto Load dependent and Load independent Firm Capacity models to increase the plant’s overall capacity factor.• Also implemented a competing Probabilistic “Z-Method model” to find the equivalent Firm Capacity of the plant. • Currently my research is being continued as a master’s thesis at LUMS.Tools: MATLAB, Simulink, Homer Show less

Started my research on multi agent systems, using reinforcement learning and other machine learning algorithms to build a successful multi node system in swarm robotics, as part of my final year project.
