  The purpose of the project is to investigate the differences in brain function between different populations including healthy young adults, healthy older adults, adults with mild cognitive impairment, and adults with Alzheimer’s disease. We specifically assess these differences based on results from mapping the motor and brain function data. Eventually, these differences could be used to apply fNIRS, in combination with motor data, as a screening method for cognitive impairment.
