LawPALs Student Leader
-
Sep 2019 - Nov 2019
As a Peer Assisted Learning Leader (PAL) I worked closely with first year law students in a classroom environment where I communicated important information about general University life and, more specifically, studying for the LLB. This role required excellent organisation and planning skills to prepare weekly presentations, the ability to work well in a team environment with other leaders to deliver sessions, and a confident and enthusiastic approach when interacting with new students. Student Placement

Jun 2019 - Oct 2019
Throughout my student placement I worked within the Dispute Resolution Department where I gained valuable court work experience. My primary duties included: preparing and lodging court documents, drafting correspondence to clients, conducting legal research on a variety of matters, assisting on debt recovery cases and communicating with third parties such as Scottish Courts and Advocates’ Clerks. I am also grateful for the opportunities to have sat in client meetings and attend court hearings.
