My current employment is with South Metropolitan TAFE a state training organisation in Western Australia. I currently lecture in the Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot), Diploma of Aviation (Aviation Management), Cert IV in Aviation (Aviation Supervision), Cert III in Aviation (Operation and Support Services) and the Cert III in Aviation (Remote Pilot). I formerly taught in the Associate Degree of Aviation in both the Aeronautics and Management Streams. In addition I have just completed research with the University of New South Wales into measuring pilot performance during training and assessment for a Master of Philosophy (Aviation) Higher Degree by Research. I hold a Bachelor of Aviation Degree and a TAE 40110 Certificate IV in workplace training and assessment which gives me dual qualification to lecture in both the VET and the Higher Education (University) sectors. I'm also a fully qualified Air Transport Pilot with just under 20 years and 10000 hours of commercial aviation experience. These qualifications combine to place me in a unique position to pass on what I know to a new generation of aviators.

    • Perth and Regional Areas Taxi Query/Dispatch Operator
      • Jan 2010 - Dec 2011

I worked with the multinational ComfortDelgro at their Swan Taxi dispatch centre here in Perth Western Australia. This work involved aiding their automated dispatch system by dealing with any problems that arose in the dispatch of Perth metro taxis requiring a very sound knowledge of the Perth metro area as well as an understanding of the "on the ground problems" facing the drivers of taxis. This not only meant day to day location of passengers and their destinations but also technical knowledge of computer dispatch problems and a cool head for liaison with emergency services in case of driver or passenger duress.

    • Taxi Owner/Operater
      • Jul 2006 - Jan 2010

Being an owner and operator of a Perth metro taxi has given me the skills to operate in a service intense industry. In addition I have gained entrepreneurial skills and have learnt the importance of managing money and people in order to have an efficient and therefore profitable business. I still own the taxi and currently manage the drivers and maintenance of the vehicle to keep it servicing the people of Perth 24/7.
