After I graduated with my master degree, I decided to go back home, so my children get the chance to learn about our culture and learn the Arabic language. My family and I stayed for 15 months in Palestine. I lived in a small village where is the need for social worker with different experience is needed. I start working with the children first, I was able to teach the teachers new techniques to work with the children and to focus more on their feelings and how house problems could effect their daily behaviors. It was hard for my to start some where with teaching babysteps . At the end of the year ,after giving many trainings to the teachers, working directly with the children and educating their families, I was able to reach my goals from creating new policies for the children benefits and have the teacher change some of their techniques. I spread awareness about mental health problems, domestic violence and more. I was like a free social worker for the whole village since they have the lack of social workers there. I am so happy because I was the reason for a good change in many people's live. Show less
