As part of the Sainsburys IDC (Interface Development Centre) I was responsible for delivery of eAI interfaces that linked legacy with re-platformed systems. This included the design, implementation and testing of the integrated system.Responsibilities:- Building eAI interfaces into and out of the key systems and providing 24/7 out of hours support.- Java development with SeeBeyond e*Gate (middleware) tools to implement interfaces.- Supporting release level Integration Testing and further test phases (Functional testing, Operability testing, UAT, etc.).- Writing Technical Designs and reviewing documentation (Problem Determination Guides, Execution Guides, etc.).- Working as part of the Operability test team in ensuring the interfaces meet the Operability requirements.I have had contact with the core release team and the business, operating and contributing to its progress and success. The knowledge gained has given me visibility of the overall implementation lifecycle and the requirements for getting interfaces into production.
