My main roles were associated with garuda(C) Pilates machines a £250k project I was placed in charge of after 1 and a half months of employment. Alongside project managing, I was involved in a number of different projects, from redesigns for clients and the manufacturing of the furniture. This meant working with a range of materials and processes, some of which new to me. Skills developed: • Metal and wood work. All round prototyping and manufacturing skills. • CAD/CAM, programming CNC, using correct cutters and changing of tools.(save money with less tool changes) • Knowledge of materials and processes, with the capabilities of each. I started a design internship for a month and was kept on and paid fully for my services for the time there after. My main roles included photoshopping/designing banners and graphics for the company and their website. I have also designed and made; several flash banners which appear under YouTube videos, re-design of the website, designed info graphics and designed several ideas for adverts. Which constantly kept my mind innovating. Skills gained: • Working to deadlines and working quickly to them was a big part of this job, with graphics needing to be done with sometimes only hours till projects went live. I found that with this I worked extremely well under the pressure of a small time frame. • Having to work with marketing closely in a lot of projects, teamwork was essential to the completion of work. I found with this my teamwork skills grew enormously. Show less
