Under BD my role was to develop new revenue stream . Apart from having access to new resources ,BD function had to rely on existing infrastructure & team to develop new businesses. Rigorous project management, Team building ,follow-ups and above all relationship building gave life to this role and we managed to deliver few successful businesses –1) Buy Back – Buying used Mobiles from consumer and in exchange giving credit to buy another had lots of complexity involved. We'd decipher the hidden challenges and turning it around to make it self-sustainable model. Within the short of span we were able to create new team in UAE & KSA , developed online portal to manage Axiom retail trade-in program so as developed tool for trade partners to run their own programs. New mechanism successfully engaged Retail , Brand , OEM, Processing & Logistics Team to make it self-sustainable business in itself.2) Phone2 – Aim was to establish de facto brand for used Phones . Used Phones Market was already complex and it had several hidden challenges to overcome. After understanding and overcoming given challenges we were successful in establishing Phone2 as well-known used Phone Brand in the region. Team Building (Processing , Sales & Sourcing ) , Coaching, Brand Creation, Marketing campaigns, Sales channels – Retail , Distribution and online were few milestone achieved during short duration which generated healthy top line and bottom line for the business.3) Xcustoms / justswitch.com : Goal was to build destination for mobile phones and accessories personalization using all leading customization techniques. Challenge was also to gain knowledge, build team , create resources and consumer experience to become name to be reckon in the customization segment. We were successful in building team and gaining required knowledge to incorporate Laser Engraving, UV Printing, Gold Plating , Vinyl Skills , Clear Skins & Swarovski to create personalization journey.
