Reporting to the Group Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs based in Mauritius, I advise the company on all Kenyan law related matters including: • Reviewing and drafting contracts, service level and professional services agreements, memoranda of understanding, letters, institutional and operational modalities or legal documents on specific circumstances • Preparing legal opinions, briefs, reports and correspondence and providing legal advice on relevant matters across the organisation’s three offices – Mauritius, Kenya and Togo • Spearheading and liaising with external legal counsel on dispute resolution mechanisms including arbitration and litigation • Liaising with all the departments within the organisation on their law related matters • Assisting the Company to comply with employment and immigration law for our local and international staff Assisting the company onboard new tenants including cunducting due diligences, reviewing letters of offer, lease agreements and termination notices • Translating documents from English to French and vice versa • Assisting on all statutory and regulatory compliance matters in Kenya including but not limited to licensing and tax requirements • Assisting on corporate governance matters including holding of board meetings and shareholders’ meetings and drafting of resolutions and shareholders' agreements
