Departmental Inventory Control Project : Over the period Central Store has undergone several changes in operating practice and currently it is operating under general shift with limited infrastructure to manage the inventory at departmental level. This prompted the maintenance managers to keep certain spares mostly insurance in nature to cater to the unexpected and urgent requirement for supporting plant operations. Over the years these materials at departmental level have risen significantly and in absence of professional warehousing infrastructure, their visibility has become poor.
